Terms of Service

1. Definition of a Donor

A Donor is any User who voluntarily contributes money to support a campaign on Harambee by InversePay.

Donations are acts of community support and do not create ownership, repayment rights, financial return, or investment interest.

2. Donor Responsibility and Risk

By contributing on Harambee by InversePay, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are responsible for understanding the purpose of the campaign before donating.
  • Donations are voluntary and made at your own discretion and risk.
  • InversePay is not responsible for statements, promises, or representations made by Campaigners.
  • While the Platform performs identity and trust verification, it does not independently verify every factual statement within a campaign.
  • The Platform does not guarantee that funds will be used in accordance with the campaign description.

Donors are encouraged to review campaign updates and exercise reasonable judgment before contributing.

InversePay treats all reports of fraud or misuse seriously and may take action against any User who violates these Terms.

3. Making Donations

When making a donation:

  • You must use a valid payment method you are legally authorized to use.
  • You confirm that your payment information is accurate and lawful.
  • Donations may be subject to minimum contribution thresholds set by the Platform.
  • Donations are generally non-refundable, except where fraud, platform error, or legal obligation requires otherwise.

Payments may be processed through authorized third-party payment providers, and by donating you consent to the handling of your payment information in accordance with applicable laws and platform rules.

4. Recurring Donations (If Applicable/Optional)

Where a Donor opts into recurring contributions:

  • You authorize the Platform or its payment partners to charge your selected payment method at the frequency chosen.
  • Recurring donations will continue until canceled by you or until the campaign ceases to be active.
  • Cancellation will stop future donations but does not automatically refund previous contributions unless fraud or invalid campaign status is confirmed.

5. Reporting Concerns and Fraud

InversePay takes allegations of fraud, misrepresentation, or misuse of funds seriously.

If you believe a campaign is not genuine or funds are being misused, report the concern through the Platform's reporting mechanism.

Upon receipt of a report, InversePay may review campaign and verification records, temporarily restrict withdrawals, request clarification from the Campaigner, or suspend and terminate the campaign where necessary.

Fraudulent or deceptive conduct may give rise to legal consequences under applicable law.

6. Privacy and Use of Donor Information

Unless you choose to donate anonymously, you consent to the use of your name or limited contact information for purposes such as:

  • Confirming donations.
  • Supporting transparency of campaigns.
  • Encouraging community participation.

Any use of personal data shall comply with applicable data protection and privacy laws.

7. Limitation of Platform Responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • InversePay is not responsible for how Campaigners ultimately use funds.
  • InversePay does not guarantee campaign success or outcomes.
  • InversePay is not liable for a Donor's decision to contribute.

Nothing in this section excludes liability for fraud or unlawful conduct where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

8. Donor Verification

To protect the integrity of the Platform and prevent fraud, money laundering, and misuse, Harambee by InversePay may require Donors to undergo identity and payment verification before or after contributing.

Verification measures may include confirmation of identity and contact details, payment method validation, fraud and security screening, and additional verification where required for high-value or suspicious transactions.

Donors agree to provide accurate and truthful information during verification.

Providing false, misleading, or incomplete information may result in suspension or restriction of account activity, reversal or blocking of transactions where permitted by law, and reporting to relevant authorities where unlawful conduct is suspected.

InversePay reserves the right to delay, refuse, or restrict transactions where verification requirements are not satisfied or where risk concerns arise.
